Design, Manufacture, Installation and Project Management
Our ongoing relationship with Scottish Building Society has recently involved a branch relocation to a new flagship on Frederick Street in Edinburgh. Situated on a prime corner site our brief was to create a vibrant relationship centre on the ground floor with training, conferencing and staff facilities in the basement. The building had to be repurposed to suit our clients needs with a lift removal and first floor access relocated.
Following the successful design ethos used at their other relationship centres throughout Scotland we took the concept and developed it further. The living room feel is the first thing to greet you when you enter the branch. Sofas and coffee tables combined with local area images framed around the large digital display complete the homely feeling.
The traditional bank desk behind a screen has been replaced with informal welcome desks where staff meet and greet. Behind a feature partition wall 2 consultation rooms allow for privacy for private meetings. The Scottish Building Society's brand colours and heritage are celebrated through out the centre.
The basement area was transformed from a dull uninspiring space to a bright vibrant and inviting multi-use space. The space has the ability to provide training / conference space for up to 20 people or easily transform into a client entertaining space. The space is dominated by a full length manufactured joinery wall housing the media equipment and a heritage display case.
Full mechanical, electrical and security systems were specified and installed inline with Scottish Building Society’s requirements.
