Visit Scotland iCentre Edinburgh

Royal Mile, Edinburgh — 6 weeks

Design, Manufacture, Installation and Project Management

Summary

Our exciting brief for the relocation of Visit Scotland’s Edinburgh ICentre from Waverley Centre to the historic Royal Mile was to create a truly impactful space that that is visually appealing and conveys the authenticity of the Scottish visitor experience in a modern way.

The new property is a stunning listed building within the quadrant of the City Chambers. It was previously a myriad of interview rooms and help desks for City of Edinburgh council.

We undertook a major strip out of the property to give a voluminous space retaining the building’s features and character.

Our services installation included new electrics and data, plumbing, new access lift and automatic doors.

Freshly painted historic ceiling with Oak and Slate floors finished our shell development.

The fit out featured traditional washed Scottish Oak with plywood and Corian for durability. Innovative consultation pods, flexible retail systems and large format digital screens are the foundation of the customer service areas.

Iconic graphics, digital wall coverings and clear informative signage give the finishing touches.

The ICentre was completed on time and budget officially opened by The Cabinet Secretary in time for the summer visitor season and The Edinburgh Festival.
