A celebration of the club, the history, and the community.

St Johnstone FC appointed Izon Projects as the design and build partner for the transformation of the former VisitScotland site in the heart of Perth. The club’s vision was to create a welcoming Visitor Centre that would showcase its history, provide space for a retail shop and ticket sales, and include offices for Saints in the Community. From the outset, it was clear that this project was about more than just a fit-out — it was about creating a space that celebrated the club’s heritage while serving the local community and supporters alike.

From our very first meeting with the St Johnstone project team, it was clear how much passion and enthusiasm they had for not only the club but also the city of Perth and its community. Their brief was to create a Visitor Centre that would bring together the club’s history, retail shop, ticket sales, and an office for Saints in the Community. The space was an ideal fit, with a quieter rear section suited to a museum area, a bright shopfront for retail and ticketing, and an upstairs office for the community team.

Working closely with the club, the design took shape. Our knowledge of the building and its services allowed us to deliver a scheme that was both practical and cost-effective. With budget in mind, we retained and refurbished existing retail units and counters, rebranding them to fit the new space, and installed large LED lightboxes at the shopfront to create a striking interior.

The club’s history is told through a series of timber display frames, complemented by large glass cases along the rear wall and centre floor for key artifacts.

Externally, we refurbished and repainted the shopfront, fitted new fascia and bus stop signs, and added bold St Johnstone window graphics to complete the transformation.
